The fifth meeting of the Political Consultations Committee between Iran and Austria was held in Vienna on April 8.

It was co-chaired by Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Majid Takht Ravanchi and his Austrian counterpart Nikolaus Marschik.

The two sides talked about a range of issues related to bilateral relations in the political, economic, cultural, academic, and consular domains, as well as the latest regional and international developments, the Iranian Foreign Ministry’s website reported.

They also highlighted the historical and amicable ties between the two countries -dating back to five centuries ago- and reaffirmed their commitment to expanding and deepening bilateral cooperation in various fields based on mutual respect and shared interests.
