Chamanian: We Must Lift Players’ Mindset against Tajikistan
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran U-17 football team head coach Abbas Chamanian says that they must lift their players’ mindset against Tajikistan.
Iran, who anchor the group with one point, drew 1-1 with DPR Korea and lost 3-2 to Oman, who came from behind twice to dent the 2008 champion’s hopes of easing into the 2025 AFC U-17 Asian Cup quarter-finals.
Chamanian knows even a win would leave them dependent on the outcome of the Oman-DPR Korea clash, played simultaneously on Friday.
“The most important thing is to lift the players’ mindset and instill a winning mentality,” he said. “Tajikistan is very strong, but we have enough match experience against them.
“I only hope our defensive line fully focuses on the match and does not lose the ball.”
