Esteghlal Suffers Ninth Loss in IPL
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Esteghlal football team lost to Foolad 1-0 in the 2024-25 Iran Professional League (IPL) on Thursday night.
With nine minutes remaining, Foolad’s Amir Masoud Abadani scored from the penalty spot at Tehran’s Azadi Stadium.
Esteghlal suffered its ninth loss of the season, dropping to the 12th place and sitting only seven points above the relegation zone.
Meanwhile, Foolad maintained its fourth position with 45 points, nine points behind the league leader, Tractor.
