Israeli Strikes Continue to Intensify across Gaza As Humanitarian Crisis Deepens
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Israeli forces continued heavy bombardments across the Gaza Strip on Friday, striking residential areas and exacerbating an already dire humanitarian crisis, with thousands still missing under the rubble and aid deliveries halted for weeks.
Israeli forces bombed a house in Khan Younis on Friday, injuring several people, according to local reports.
Ambulances were dispatched to the scene, but damaged roads and debris have made access to the site extremely difficult.
In central Gaza, an Israeli quadcopter drone targeted a Palestinian in Nuseirat, while overnight strikes hit a home in Gaza City’s Shujayea neighborhood, killing two Palestinians.
Evacuation orders were issued on Thursday for residents in Shujayea and Khan Younis, amid ongoing artillery shelling across northern, central, and southern areas of the enclave, including Rafah.
Many Palestinians remain trapped under the rubble from repeated strikes. Medical officials say the majority of the casualties are women and children.
The deteriorating situation is compounded by widespread displacement and growing starvation.
No humanitarian aid—including food, cooking gas, or fuel—has entered the Gaza Strip for nearly six weeks.
Gaza’s Health Ministry said at least 50,912 Palestinians have been killed and 115,981 injured since Israel launched its military campaign.
The Government Media Office in Gaza later revised the death toll to more than 61,700, citing thousands still missing and presumed dead beneath the rubble.
