Iran Runner-Up in SAT Futsal Championship Thailand 2025
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s men’s futsal team finished in second place in the SAT Futsal Championship Thailand 2025 on Saturday.
Team Melli defeated host Thailand 6-2, thanks to goals from Hossein Tayebi (two goals), Mohammad Hossein Derakhshani, Hossein Sabzi, Mohammad Hossein Bazyar, and Amir Hossein Gholami.
Iran lost to Russia 2-1 in its opening match and defeated Kuwait in its second match.
The high-stakes four-team futsal tournament took place from April 9-12, 2025, at Terminal Hall, Terminal 21 Korat, Thailand.
This tournament served as preparation for the AFC Futsal Asian Cup 2026 Qualifiers (September 16-24, 2025).
