Israeli missiles struck Al-Maamadani Hospital in northern Gaza early Sunday, targeting one of the main medical centers in the region, Palestinian media reported.
According to local sources, the attacks hit several sections of the hospital, including the emergency, internal medicine, and pharmacy departments.
Footage circulated by Palestinian outlets showed significant destruction across various hospital units.
Al Jazeera reported that four sections of the hospital were directly hit by the Israeli military, including the reception area, emergency ward, and laboratory.
The Palestinian Shehab news agency stated that the emergency building was destroyed and that the pharmacy, reception, and laboratory areas sustained heavy damage.
Following the bombardment, dozens of patients and injured civilians were forced to spend the night on the streets surrounding the hospital due to the suspension of medical services.
The Hamas resistance movement condemned the strike as a war crime, saying that the Israeli army is carrying out a series of brutal attacks across the Gaza Strip.
"This new war crime, involving the bombing of Al-Maamadani Hospital and the displacement of patients and wounded, was committed by the fascist occupying army," Hamas said in a statement.
The resistance group also criticized US complicity and international silence over Israel’s criminal actions in Gaza.
"How can the world and the United Nations Security Council remain silent in the face of these unprecedented crimes by Israel in the modern era?" the statement added.
The Palestinian Government Media Office in Gaza also condemned the attack, calling it a "horrific criminal act."
The office stated that the Israeli occupation forces have deliberately destroyed 34 hospitals as part of a systematic campaign to eliminate healthcare services in the territory.
