Israeli Attacks Kill at Least 70 As Homes, Tent Shelters Bombed in Gaza

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Medical sources reported that at least 64 people have been killed in Israeli attacks on Gaza since dawn on Friday, while the casualties continue to mount.

The Israeli military has continued its assault on Gaza overnight, including a helicopter attack on a tent housing displaced Palestinians in which at least five people were killed.

The Israeli forces have also stormed the Fawwar refugee camp in the occupied West Bank and detained more than 60 Palestinians as part of a widespread arrest campaign.

Israel’s army has confiscated the body of a 16-year-old boy who was shot dead on Thursday evening, a killing that marks the 22nd Palestinian child killed by Israeli forces in the occupied West Bank this year, Al Jazeera reported.

The UN’s World Food Program issued an urgent warning that “Gaza needs food now” as hundreds of thousands of people are at risk of hunger.

Journalists in Gaza say people are “psychologically broken” amid Israeli bombing and being unable to feed their children due to the Israeli blockade on aid supplies.

Gaza’s Health Ministry says at least 51,065 Palestinians have been confirmed dead and 116,505 wounded in Israel’s war on Gaza since it began 18 months ago.

The Gaza Government Media Office updated its death toll to more than 61,700, saying thousands of people missing under the rubble are presumed dead.
