The agreement was signed by Interior Minister of Iran Eskandar Momeni and his Tajik counterpart Ramazon Hamro Rahimzoda during the Iranian minister’s visit to the Central Asian country.

The pact entails cooperation in the fight against terrorism, organized crimes, human trafficking, and drugs.

After signing the agreement, Momeni expressed hope for the improvement of security in the two nations with the implementation of the pact.
