Iran-US Expert Talks Rescheduled for April 26

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The technical negotiations between Iran and the US at the level of experts, originally scheduled to be held in Oman on Wednesday with the purpose of building a framework for the talks on a possible nuclear deal, have been delayed for three days.

Spokesperson for the Iranian Foreign Ministry Esmaeil Baqaei announced on Tuesday evening that the technical-expert meeting between Iran and the US is set to take place on April 26.

He said following a proposal by the Sultanate of Oman and with the agreement of the Iranian and US delegations, the consultative technical session --originally scheduled for Wednesday within the framework of the ongoing indirect talks between the two sides-- has been postponed until Saturday, to coincide with the presence of the heads of both delegations.

Delegations from Iran and the US have held two rounds of talks in Oman and Italy in the past two weeks with the purpose of reaching a deal on Iran’s nuclear program and the removal of sanctions on Iran.
