Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi and IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi held a telephone conversation on Tuesday evening.

In the call, Araqchi highlighted Iran’s goodwill and seriousness in pursuing the path of diplomacy.

He also briefed the UN nuclear chief on the latest developments concerning the ongoing indirect negotiations between Tehran and Washington.

Grossi, for his part, praised Iran’s responsible approach.

He also expressed the IAEA’s readiness to provide any necessary support within the scope of its duties and mandate under the IAEA Statute.

Delegations from Iran and the US have held two rounds of talks in Oman and Italy in the past two weeks with the purpose of reaching a deal on Iran’s nuclear program and the removal of sanctions on Iran.

The two sides are going to proceed with technical negotiations at the level of experts on April 26.
