Iran-US Technical Talks to Be Held Indirectly: Source

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – An informed source said the upcoming technical negotiations between Iran and the US will be held indirectly again and mediated by Oman.

Speaking to Tasnim on Wednesday, the informed source said the upcoming technical talks in Muscat will be participated by the Iranian and American experts on nuclear issues and affairs related to the sanctions.

The experts will be discussing the possibility of achievement of an agreement, the source said.

Asked if the technical talks might be held directly to allow for the detailed examination of the subjects, the source said such an arrangement is not on the agenda at all.

“The technical negotiations will be held with the participation of Iranian and American experts indirectly and with the mediation of Omani experts,” the source added.

Delegations from Iran and the US have held two rounds of talks in Oman and Italy in the past two weeks with the purpose of reaching a deal on Iran’s nuclear program and the removal of sanctions on Iran.

The two sides are going to proceed with technical negotiations at the level of experts on April 26.
