In a telephone conversation on Tuesday, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin discussed the bilateral relations as well as the regional and international developments.

The two presidents expressed satisfaction with the constructive and friendly interaction between Iran and Russia, hailing the positive trend in the joint projects, particularly in the monetary and banking cooperation, as well as rail and road transportation and energy sectors.

They reaffirmed their commitment to the full implementation of the agreement.

Putin expressed hope for the success of the indirect nuclear talks between Iran and the US, voicing Russia's readiness to provide technical assistance if needed, the Iranian president’s website reported.

The Russian president also extended condolences to the Iranian government and people over a recent tragic explosion at the Shahid Rajaei Port in southern Iran.

In response, Pezeshkian expressed gratitude to Russia for its sympathy and the supports in extinguishing a fire at the port.
