Date for New Round of Iran-US Talks Under Discussion: Spokesman
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The spokesperson for the Iranian Foreign Ministry said the date and location of the next round of indirect negotiations between Iran and the US have not been fixed yet.
Esmaeil Baqaei told IRNA on Wednesday that the timing and location of the new round of Iran-US talks are under discussion.
He said the mediator, namely Oman, will announce plans as soon as the time and location of the talks are fixed.
The spokesman said Oman has suggested that the talks would be held early next week, saying the proposal is under consideration.
Iran and the US have held three rounds of talks in Muscat and Rome on April 12, 19 and 26, mediated by Oman, with the purpose of reaching a deal on Iran’s nuclear program and the removal of sanctions on Tehran.
