Yemen Fires Missile at Israel’s Ben Gurion Airport

TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Yemen’s armed forces said they have launched a hypersonic missile at Israel’s main international airport in retaliation for the regime’s ongoing atrocities in Gaza.

Yemen's military spokesperson said on Friday that the missile units targeted Ben Gurion Airport, located 20 kilometers (12 miles) to the southeast of Tel Aviv, with a domestically developed hypersonic ballistic missile.

The strike was in response to Israel’s continued military campaign in Gaza, according to Brigadier General Yahya Saree.

“The attack hit its target,” Saree said in a televised statement, saying that it forced large numbers of illegal Israeli settlers to seek shelter.

He emphasized that the Yemeni armed forces, together with the country’s freedom-loving nation, consider it a religious, moral, and humanitarian responsibility to demonstrate solidarity with Gazans in light of unfolding developments in the region, the daily massacre of ordinary people there, the weeks-long aid blockade, and the inaction of Muslim states.

Saree said Yemen would intensify military actions until Israeli bloody aggression against Yemen stops, and the crippling siege on Palestinians in the coastal region is completely lifted.

He also declared a full air blockade on Ben Gurion Airport and said Israeli-affiliated vessels would be blocked from the Red and Arabian Seas.

As the genocidal war on Gaza escalated, the Yemenis enacted a strategic blockade on essential maritime routes to obstruct the delivery of military supplies to Israel and urge the international community to take action regarding the ongoing humanitarian emergency in Gaza.

The Yemeni Armed Forces have declared that they will continue their assaults until Israel ceases its ground and aerial offensives in Gaza.
