Iran Secure in Face of Hostilities: IRGC Chief

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Security and tranquility prevail in Iran although the enemies have been waging a full-blown war against the Islamic Republic, the commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) said.

In spite of the fact that Iran is encountering all characteristics of a battle imposed by the enemies, the country is clam and enjoys full security, Major General Hossein Salami said on Sunday.

He noted that a full-fledged war has been waged against Iran in practice, but nothing resembles the wartime conditions as all pillars of the Islamic Republic are operating normally.

“This is an exception. It’s a wonder that is unprecedented. Our people are not feeling anxiety. They are calm, while our enemies -the Zionists- are worried and have no peace of mind,” the general stated.

He said Iran is facing a “real global satanic formation” of small and big enemies in the political, economic and military spheres.

The Iranian nation resists more resolutely against the heavy political pressures exerted by the enemies, the commander said, adding that the adversaries have failed to devise any formula or way to overcome Iran.

In remarks in February, Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei said the enemies’ software-style threats have gone nowhere, as the Iranian people continue to support the Islamic Revolution despite all problems and their righteous expectations.
