An Iranian parliamentary delegation, led by Qalibaf, will depart Tehran on Sunday to visit three Latin American countries, the Parliament speaker’s special assistant for international affairs announced.

The Iranian lawmakers are going to visit Venezuela, Cuba and Brazil.

Qalibaf is scheduled to take part in the BRICS Parliamentary Forum in Brazil’s capital.

The 11th BRICS Parliamentary Forum will take place on June 3-5 at the National Congress Palace in Brasilia.

The forum will bring together presidents of parliament and congress representatives from the eleven BRICS member countries --Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa, Egypt, Ethiopia, Indonesia, Iran, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates-- and two of the nine partner countries.

The presidents of the New Development Bank (NDB) and the Inter Parliamentary Union (IUP) will also attend the forthcoming forum.
