Ghaedi to Be Sidelined for Three Weeks with Injury

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s national football team winger Mehdi Ghaedi will be sidelined for approximately three weeks after suffering a calf injury.

Ghaedi will miss the upcoming matches against Qatar and North Korea in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier.

Ghaedi had to leave training due to pain from a left calf muscle strain on Tuesday.

Iran is scheduled to face Qatar on Thursday night in Doha, in Group A.

Team Melli will host North Korea five days later in Tehran.
