MP Warns of Iran’s Tough Response to EU3

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – An Iranian lawmaker warned the European troika that their attempts to cause trouble and fabricate a crisis surrounding Iran’s nuclear program will trigger Tehran’s immediate and decisive reaction.

Speaking to Tasnim on Saturday, the chairman of the Iranian Parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy commission denounced the “hostile move” by the UK, France and Germany to rehash groundless accusations against Iran’s peaceful nuclear program.

Should the three European governments press on with fabricating crises and refer the fake and unfounded allegations against Iran to the International Atomic Energy Agency, they will receive Iran’s swift, decisive, deterrent and irreversible reactions aimed at protecting its national security and interests, Ebrahim Azizi warned.

The lawmaker said the era of tolerance has ended, cautioning the European troika that any hostile action against Iran will receive a smart and much bigger response that will inflict heavy costs on them.

In a post on his X account on Friday, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi denounced the European troika’s malign action against Iran at the IAEA Board of Governors, warning that Tehran will react strongly against any violation of its rights.

“Mark my words as Europe ponders another major strategic mistake: Iran will react strongly against any violation of its rights. Blame lies solely and fully with irresponsible actors who stop at nothing to gain relevance,” the foreign minister cautioned.

His comments came after reports came out that the US, along with allies the UK, France, and Germany --known as the EU3-- plans to submit a resolution to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) board that would declare Iran non-compliant with its non-proliferation obligations.
