Spokesperson of the Dera Ismail Khan police Yaqoob Khan said that a group of three terrorists opened fire at the police personnel on duty when they were heading to a market in the Kulachi district of KP, Xinhua reported.
Following the incident, the Counter Terrorism Department personnel chased the terrorists and killed one of them during a fire exchange while two others managed to flee.
"Arms and ammunition were recovered from the slain terrorist, while a search operation is ongoing to trace the remaining culprits," the spokesperson added.
