Poland defeated Iran 3-2 (25-19, 23-25, 25-18, 21-25, 15-8) at the packed the Ergo Arena in Gdansk on Wednesday night.
“It was a very tough match (against Iran), but in the end we managed to come back to the basics and take the win,” Leon said.
“But on the other hand, I was happy that it was 3-2 because the fans could stay longer. I’ve been preparing myself for so many years to be able to help in the big moments. I’ve been trying to do my best every time, and I’m happy that today I was able to help the team again,” he said.
