In their phone call on Thursday, the two officials exchanged views on the latest developments in the region, stressing the need for a coordinated regional response to Israel's warmongering and destabilizing actions.

Araqchi expressed deep concern over recent events in Syria. He also voiced deep concern over the Israeli regime’s attacks on Syria and Lebanon, as well as the continued genocide in Gaza.

He emphasized the urgent need for coordinated action among regional countries to confront the expansionist and warmongering policies of the Israeli regime, which undermine the stability and security of the entire region.

Egypt’s foreign minister reiterated his country’s position in support of Syria’s territorial integrity.

He also stressed the importance of protecting the rights of all minority groups in Syria and opposing any attempts to partition the country.
