Iran Voices Concern about Normalization of Israeli Aggression in Region

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The Iranian vice president expressed concern that the Zionist regime’s acts of aggression against regional countries could become a regular process, calling on the United Nations to step up efforts to rein in Israel.

In a meeting with UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres, held on the sidelines of the 3rd UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries in Turkmenistan on Tuesday, Aref said Iran is concerned that the Israeli acts of aggression against various countries could set a precedent and upset regional stability.

He said if the UN had taken more effective measures against the Israeli atrocities, the world would have not witnessed the current catastrophe in Palestine and Gaza.

Denouncing the Zionist crime in Gaza as a case of “modern barbarism and cruelty”, Aref called on the UN to take more active and effectual measures and double supports to rein in the Israeli regime.

The vice president further urged the UN to condemn the Western policy of Iranophobia.

The Israeli regime’s war on Gaza has killed at least 61,020 people and wounded 150,671 since October 2023.
