Analogy Drawn between Israeli Strikes, Atomic Attacks on Japan

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The spokesperson for the Iranian Foreign Ministry cited a media statement from the UN human rights experts who have drawn parallels between the Zionist regime’s genocidal atrocities in Gaza and the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

“As the world marks the 80th anniversary of the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, UN human rights experts have noted that Israel's genocidal attacks evoke painful parallels with the nuclear attacks on Japan,” Esmaeil Baqaei said in a post on his X account on Thursday.

“The UN Human Rights experts have warned: ‘Of particular concern is Israel's perpetration of these genocidal attacks, while it remains as the sole nuclear power in the Middle East, continuing to threaten regional stability with attacks against most of its neighbouring States, including attacks against nuclear facilities in Iran...’,” the Iranian spokesman added.

He has also attached the image of the media statement issued by the UN experts.
