In a message for Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Saturday, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian offered his condolences and expressed sympathy with the government and people of Pakistan over the fatal floods in the neighboring country.

He said Iran is ready for cooperation with Pakistan and supplying all necessary humanitarian and relief assistance to the flood-hit people.

Pezeshkian also wished a speedy recovery for the Pakistani people injured in the natural disaster.

More than 300 people have died in northwest Pakistan after two days of intense rains and floods, local officials said on Saturday.

Rescue efforts and clearing of blocked roads are ongoing with the release of emergency funds, while the heavy rains are forecast until August 21.
