In a meeting in Tehran on Saturday, Araqchi and Secretary of Armenia’s National Security Council Armen Grigoryan discussed bilateral ties along with regional and international developments.

Highlighting the longstanding relations between Iran and Armenia, Araqchi described them as grounded in goodwill, mutual respect, and the natural interests of both nations. He emphasized that Iran sees no limits to expanding cooperation with Armenia across various fields, according to the Foreign Ministry’s website.

The Iranian minister also expressed gratitude for the warm hospitality extended to Iran’s president during his recent visit to Yerevan, calling the trip and its outcomes “very successful and satisfactory.”

Araqchi further welcomed Armenia’s attention to regional concerns about lasting security and stability in the South Caucasus, stressing that continued reciprocal visits and consultations would strengthen mutual understanding.

For his part, Grigoryan briefed Iranian officials on his talks in Tehran, describing the consultations as constructive.

He reaffirmed Armenia’s determination to expand ties with Iran, particularly in economic and trade sectors, and underscored his country’s commitment to ongoing dialogue aimed at addressing concerns and resolving challenges.
