Ali Alipour made the scoreboard 2-0 in the 89th and Mehdi Taremi scored Iran’s third goal in the dying moments of the match.

Iran, who had defeated Afghanistan 3-1 in their opening match, will meet Tajikistan on Thursday.

Group A participants are Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, and Oman.
