Iranian FM in Doha for OIC Meeting on Israeli Strike against Qatar

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi has traveled to Qatar to attend a ministerial meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) about the Zionist regime’s recent military aggression against the Persian Gulf state.

Araqchi arrived in Doha on Sunday morning.

The emergency OIC meeting, convened at the request of Qatar, will address the issue of the Israeli regime’s military aggression against the country.

The meeting of foreign ministers serves as a prelude to the Islamic-Arab summit scheduled for Monday.

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian will represent the country at the leaders’ summit.

The Israeli regime on September 9 struck Hamas’s leadership in the Qatari capital, an act of aggression that has drawn widespread international condemnation.

Hamas confirmed that five of its members, including the son of senior leader Khalil al-Hayya, were martyred in the strike. A member of Qatar’s security forces was also killed.
