The Iranian wrestler defeated Kazakhstan’s Kamil Kurugliyev 4-0 in the bronze medal match. Osman Nurmagomedov of Azerbaijan also won the bronze medal.

The gold medal went to American Trent Hidlay, who defeated Amanula Gadzhimagomedov (UWW) 13-10.

The 2025 World Wrestling Championships began on September 14 in Zagreb, Croatia and will run until September 21.
