In a congratulatory message to Chinese President Xi Jinping on the 76th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China, Pezeshkian hailed China’s National Day as a symbol of “unity, progress, and remarkable achievements” that have contributed to shared prosperity across the globe.

The Iranian president noted that during his recent meeting with Xi in Beijing, he had underlined the importance of expanding all-round cooperation with China. “The Comprehensive Strategic Partnership with the People’s Republic of China is a key priority for the Islamic Republic of Iran,” Pezeshkian stressed.

He noted that the shifting and complex international and regional conditions have made the strengthening and expansion of comprehensive relations more necessary than ever.

Pezeshkian further expressed hope that bilateral relations would continue to advance “with strength, based on mutual respect and common interests.”
