Al Muharraq scored at the hour mark after Juninho Piauiense set Simoes free on the left, with the Brazilian finishing the move with a fine strike past Far Abbasi.

Esteghlal will host Al Wehdat at the Shahr-e Qods Stadium on October 22, while Al Muharraq play at home against Al Wasl in the same day.
