20,000 Gaza Children Dead amid Ongoing Israeli Genocide

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Israel has killed more than 20,000 children in the ongoing genocide in Gaza since October 2023, local authorities said Sunday.

The Gaza government’s media office has condemned the Israeli regime for committing a systematic genocide, reporting that more than 20,000 children have been killed since October 2023 as the relentless bombardment devastates nearly all of Gaza’s territory.

The Gaza government’s media office reported that more than 19,450 children’s bodies have been taken to hospitals, while at least 12,500 women have been killed—among them about 10,160 whose bodies were recovered from the rubble.

It said Israel has used around 200,000 tons of explosives, destroying close to 90 percent of Gaza’s territory and occupying more than 80 percent of the area.

At least 1,670 medical workers, 140 civil defense personnel and 255 journalists have also been killed since the war began nearly two years ago, the office said.

The report cited roughly 12,000 miscarriages among pregnant women, attributing them to famine and the collapse of Gaza’s health system under Israeli bombardment.

The media office stated that Israel is “systematically targeting” Gaza’s health sector, destroying or disabling 38 hospitals, 96 health centers and 197 ambulances.

According to the statement, 835 mosques were obliterated, 180 others partially damaged, and three churches struck. Forty cemeteries were demolished, and more than 2,450 bodies were reportedly stolen from burial sites.

Nearly 268,000 homes have been completely destroyed, 148,000 severely damaged and 153,000 partially damaged, displacing over 288,000 families.

Most of the 125,000 tents sheltering the displaced are no longer usable, the office said.

Almost two million Palestinians have been forced from their homes since Israel launched its campaign, with 293 shelters and displacement centers hit by Israeli strikes.
