The remarks came on Tuesday during a ceremony where Pezeshkian received the credentials of Tamakolo Ouattara, the new ambassador of Ivory Coast to Iran.

The president expressed hope that the incoming envoy would actively work to advance shared goals and deepen relations between the two nations.

Highlighting the importance of economic collaboration, Pezeshkian pointed to the activation of a joint economic commission as a vital step for structuring policies and frameworks that support cooperation across multiple sectors. He also stressed that Iran’s international engagements are guided by ethical principles, respect for human relations, peace, stability, and global security.

The president expressed optimism that the ambassador’s presence in Tehran would help broaden friendly ties and expand joint initiatives in various fields.

In response, Ouattara underscored the role of diplomacy in advancing mutual interests and strengthening international friendships. He expressed his commitment to fulfilling his mission and highlighted Iran’s influential role in regional and international affairs.

The ambassador also noted ongoing plans to establish a joint economic commission, aimed at boosting collaboration in key sectors, particularly agriculture and farming, while reaffirming Ivory Coast’s desire to further expand cooperation with Iran.
