TEHRAN (Tasnim) – There has been a significant pause in dialogue between Russia and the United States, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters.

"Indeed, the dialogue as a follow-up of the Istanbul talks is considerably stalled," he said, TASS reported.

Regarding Ukraine, it has not provided any feedback on the documents. "Our progress is at a standstill," he lamented.

On July 23, Istanbul hosted the third round of direct Russia-Ukraine talks. The two sides agreed to exchange civilians along with service members. Russia invited Ukraine to establish three online working groups to address political, military and humanitarian issues. In addition, Moscow offered to transfer the bodies of another 3,000 Ukrainian troops to Kiev and resume short humanitarian pauses on the frontline to collect the wounded and the dead.

Presidential aide Vladimir Medinsky, who is also Russia’s chief negotiator in talks with Ukraine, said the decision to hold a fourth round of talks will be made after those agreements have been implemented.
