In a statement on Friday, Esmaeil Baqaei denounced the continued breaches of the ceasefire by the Zionist regime over the past recent months, noting that these violations have reached around 5,000 cases, causing harm to Lebanese civilians, destruction of infrastructure, and disruption of the Arab country’s reconstruction and economic development efforts.
Baqaei held the ceasefire guarantors, namely France and the US, directly responsible for the situation, calling it the result of their inaction and ongoing appeasement toward the Israeli regime.
Despite a ceasefire in Lebanon, the Israeli regime has continued to violate the agreement, striking Lebanon almost on a daily basis.
The Zionist regime launched a series of violent airstrikes against Lebanon on Thursday, marking a serious escalation and a continued violation of the ceasefire declaration that has been in place since November 2024.
In the first wave, the Israeli forces launched a drone strike on the al-Dabsheh hill on the outskirts of the town of Kfar Tibnit, followed by another drone strike on the Kawthariya al-Siyyed-al-Sharqiya main road.
The Zionist regime also targeted the Bnaafoul village in the Saida District with two airstrikes.
In the same wave, the Israeli warplanes targeted the town of Shmestar in the Bekaa, east Lebanon, killing one citizen.
A few hours later, Israel carried out a second wave of airstrikes targeting the outskirts of the town of Ansar in South Lebanon, which many described as one of the most violent since the ceasefire.
Al Mayadeen reported that the Israeli airstrikes on Ansar specifically targeted a cement factory, an asphalt plant, and several fuel tanks in the area.
In yet another violation, an Israeli drone dropped sonic bombs on three separate occasions off the coast of Ras Naqoura.
