In a post on his X account on October 16, Reza Amiri Moqaddam said, “I would like to extend my sincere congratulations to the Government and the people of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan on Pakistan’s election to the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) for the sixth time, with a resounding majority of 178 votes.”
“This remarkable achievement reflects the international community’s continued trust and recognition of Pakistan’s steadfast commitment to diplomacy and to the promotion and protection of human rights,” the Iranian ambassador said.
“The Islamic Republic of Iran and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan have long enjoyed exemplary cooperation in various international fora, including the UNHRC. This renewed membership will undoubtedly open new avenues for further strengthening our collaboration, particularly in advancing shared goals in the field of human rights and beyond,” he added.
