According to reports from Lebanese media, Israeli regime drones launched several attacks across Lebanon during the officials’ visit, targeting multiple civilian areas in clear violation of international law and the UN Security Council Resolution 1701.
The Budai region in eastern Lebanon was hit in one of the strikes — the fourth Israeli violation of Lebanese sovereignty in a single day. Shortly after, an Israeli drone targeted the al-Hafir area in Baalbek, killing one civilian and wounding another. The latest assault raised the total number of regime attacks within 24 hours to five.
Lebanon’s Ministry of Health confirmed that two civilians were killed in consecutive drone strikes carried out by the occupying regime’s military in the towns of al-Naqoura in southern Lebanon and al-Nabi Sheet in the Beqaa Valley.
Earlier in the day, Lebanon’s National News Agency reported that an Israeli drone struck a construction vehicle in the town of Blida, injuring one person.
These renewed attacks underscore the Israeli regime’s ongoing violations of Lebanese sovereignty and repeated breaches of the ceasefire, as international guarantors of the 1701 resolution remain passive in the face of Israel’s persistent aggression.
