Araqchi made the remarks during a meeting with Samad Hassanzadeh, the head of Iran’s Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines, and Agriculture, held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Tuesday.
Emphasizing the importance of the private sector’s role in advancing the country’s foreign economic relations, Araqchi said, “The duty of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, within the framework of economic diplomacy, is to open the path for economic actors and provide the ground for their constructive engagement with foreign counterparts.”
In the meeting, the two sides discussed the ways to facilitate and strengthen the private sector’s role in expanding Iran’s foreign economic relations.
They also stressed the need for greater coordination between the Foreign Ministry and the Chamber of Commerce to support economic actors and facilitate the international interactions of the private sector.
