The Iranian Foreign Ministry denounced the large-scale Israeli military assaults on various parts of Lebanon, adding that the United Nations, the international community, and regional countries bear responsibility to confront Israel’s “warmongering” and to hold the occupying regime accountable for its criminal actions.
The ministry warned that Israel’s impunity and ongoing expansionist policies pose serious dangers to regional security and peace.
According to the statement, Israeli attacks since the November 2025 ceasefire have killed or injured more than 1,000 Lebanese civilians and destroyed infrastructure and residential areas.
Iran called the strikes a blatant violation of Lebanon’s sovereignty and territorial integrity and a grave crime against international peace and security.
The ministry said the assaults that were undoubtedly backed by full US support, demonstrate the “criminal, terrorist, and hegemonic” nature of the Israeli regime.
It added that the attacks aim to weaken Lebanon’s sovereignty and obstruct the country’s reconstruction and development.
Iran expressed condolences for the Lebanese victims and reaffirmed solidarity with Lebanon’s government and people.
The statement also voiced support for Lebanon’s legitimate resistance and its efforts to defend sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity.
