In a post on his X account on Friday, Araqchi listed the Israeli regime’s record of occupation, apartheid, and military aggression to counter Benjamin Netanyahu’s remarks.
The top Iranian diplomat underscored that a regime accused of genocide and war crimes could not credibly claim to ensure security, saying the Israeli regime’s actions over the past year have exacerbated tensions and conflicts across the region.
“The so-called ‘anchor of security in the Middle East’:
– Wanted for genocide and war crimes
– Imposing apartheid on 7.5 million Palestinians
– Bombed 7 countries over past year
– Occupying Palestinian, Lebanese and Syrian territory
Israel is the source of instability in our region,” Araqchi said in his post.
