In comments at a meeting with a group of Iranian lawmakers on Sunday, Major General Hatami said the Army has not lost a moment and has continuously and seriously been working to advance the components of defensive capabilities.
Hailing Iran’s strengths during the 12-day imposed war with the Zionist regime in June, the commander noted that the measures, prudence, and special command of Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, combined with the sacrifices and efforts of the Armed Forces and the cohesion, empathy, insight, and determination of the Iranian people, compelled the enemy to request a ceasefire.
He emphasized that Iran is striving to maintain and enhance those strengths to further elevate its defensive power.
Major General Hatami also noted that the experiences of the 12-day war have prepared the country for future challenges.
“Today, without a doubt, our people are more aware and insightful regarding the enemy’s intentions and clearly understand their malicious designs,” he added.
