In a telephone conversation with the Taliban’s acting foreign minister Amir Khan Muttaqi on Monday, Araqchi discussed bilateral relations and the latest developments across the region.

The top Iranian diplomat emphasized the importance of strengthening consultations among the regional stakeholders to support stability and promote constructive dialogue.

Araqchi reaffirmed Iran’s readiness to facilitate diplomatic efforts aimed at fostering regional cooperation, noting that inclusive engagement is vital for resolving ongoing challenges and safeguarding peace.

Muttaqi, for his part, expressed appreciation for Iran’s diplomatic initiatives and welcomed the continuation of regional consultations to help improve the situation.
