Oman’s incoming Ambassador Ya’rub bin Qahtan bin Nasser Al-Busaidi presented a copy of his credentials to Foreign Minister Araqchi on Monday.

Welcoming the envoy to Tehran, Araqchi wished him success in his mission and described Iran-Oman relations as brotherly and friendly. He also emphasized that the two countries are determined to further deepen bilateral cooperation across all fields of mutual interest.

The new ambassador, for his part, conveyed warm greetings from Oman’s foreign minister and said he would work, under the special instructions of the Sultan of Oman and in line with the shared resolve of the two countries’ leaders, to tap into all available capacities to strengthen relations in every area.

Earlier on Monday, UAE Ambassador Khalid Abdullah Hameed Abdullah Balhoul also met Araqchi and presented a copy of his credentials at the start of his diplomatic mission in Iran.

The top Iranian diplomat wished the new envoy success and reaffirmed Tehran’s readiness to expand comprehensive ties with the UAE within the framework of its good-neighborliness policy, especially in the economic and commercial domains.

Balhoul conveyed the greetings of the Emirati foreign minister and highlighted the UAE leadership’s interest in advancing bilateral and regional cooperation with Iran.
