In a telephone conversation on Tuesday, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi and his Jordanian counterpart Ayman Safadi discussed bilateral relations as well as regional and international developments.
They exchanged views on the importance of strengthening bilateral relations in the areas of mutual interest.
The two foreign ministers also consulted regarding the upcoming meeting of the Board of Governors of the International Atomic Energy Agency and the draft resolution proposed by the three European countries concerning Iran’s nuclear issue.
The situation in Palestine and Gaza, the implications of the newly adopted United Nations Security Council resolution, the importance of halting the killing and genocide of the Palestinian people, and the need to ensure the full realization of the rights of the Palestinian nation --specifically the right to self-determination and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state-- were also among the central topics of discussion.
