Power Surge Causes Sequential Transformer Explosions in Israeli Occupied Netanya

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The Israeli occupied coastal city of Netanya suffered multiple transformer explosions followed by hours of widespread power cuts on Tuesday, regime-linked media reported, citing a high-voltage system malfunction that sparked fears of a possible missile attack among residents.

A major voltage surge triggered the initial transformer blasts, according to Israeli media cited by a report from the Hebrew desk of Tasnims.

Several transformers erupted first, leaving large parts of the area without electricity for prolonged hours, the report said.

The incident rattled locals, many of whom rushed online to describe scenes of confusion and panic.

One eyewitness wrote on social media, “The explosions were so intense that everyone assumed a missile strike was underway. It’s truly terrifying; we are living like prehistoric nations! Why is the power company dodging questions about the reason?”

The power firm has yet to issue a clear public explanation, the post added.

Local utilities have not immediately commented on the cause of the voltage fault.

The Israeli regime has faced repeated scrutiny in past months over grid stability, emergency response, and infrastructure resilience amid regional tensions.
