Majed Al Ansari told a press briefing that Qatar’s mediation efforts on Gaza were ongoing, adding that Israeli breaches “threaten the agreement and weaken its impact.”
He said that despite the violations, “this is the longest ceasefire” since the war began.
Separately, Al Ansari said Doha continues to monitor the Gaza agreement and aims to prevent the current truce from collapsing.
He said it is necessary to strengthen the Gaza ceasefire and move toward implementing the second phase of US President Donald Trump’s plan, noting that Qatar is working to turn the existing truce into a pathway for that next stage.
In a related development, Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty expressed hope that larger, unrestricted aid shipments would enter Gaza to meet the needs of Palestinians in the enclave.
