APA Committees to Convene in Mashhad

The meetings of the two APA committees will be held in Iran’s northeastern city on December 3-6.

The event brings together 15 parliamentary delegations from across Asia for talks on collaborative initiatives and key political issues, including Palestine.

An Iranian lawmaker told Tasnim that participants in the meetings in Mashhad are expected to ratify the drafts of seven resolutions on various topics, including cooperation among the Asian countries on advancement of multilateralism, strengthening lawmaking, and good governance.

The Palestine Committee of APA is also scheduled to reaffirm the Asian parliaments’ unwavering support for the cause of Palestine.

The Asian Parliamentary Assembly was founded in 2006 at the 7th session of the Association of Asian Parliamentary for Peace (AAPP) which was established in 1999.
