Major General Mohammad Pakpour made the remarks in a message on the opening of the Sahand-2025 joint anti-terrorism exercise, hosted by Iran.
Welcoming the commanders, officials, and high-ranking guests from SCO member and non-member countries attending the war game, the commander described their presence in Iran as a symbol of the depth of strategic cooperation among the organization’s members.
The IRGC commander warned that terrorism is a threat without borders or geography, stressing that confronting it requires joint measures, specialized exercises, and the exchange of information and experiences among military and security forces.
Highlighting the IRGC’s operational experiences, Major General Pakpour said his forces have gained valuable practical knowledge from confronting the Takfiri, separatist, and state-sponsored terrorist groups in recent years. He emphasized that the IRGC is prepared to share these experiences without limitation with the SCO member states.
He further pointed to the regional situation following the 12-day war of aggression imposed by the Zionist regime and the US against Iran in June, noting that despite pressures and threats, Iran has maintained national determination and a strategic outlook, with a focus on bolstering regional and international cooperation.
