New South Wales Rural Fire Services (NSW RFS), the lead combat agency for bushfires in NSW, confirmed on Sunday evening that building impact assessment teams completed their assessment of the Nimbin Rd, Koolewong fireground in the Central Coast and found 16 houses were destroyed and nine were damaged, Xinhua reported.

Additionally, seven outbuildings were destroyed, and eight remained untouched, the authority said in a Facebook post.

It said on Saturday that four homes in the Crawford River area in the Mid North Coast had been lost.
