Iran, China Reaffirm Commitment to Promoting Strategic Cooperation

Miao Deyu, who has traveled to Tehran to attend the third round of the Iran-China-Saudi Arabia trilateral meeting, held talks with Takht Ravanchi on Monday afternoon.

The Iranian deputy minister referred to the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries and the determination of the Iranian and Chinese officials to advance relations in all fields.

Takht Ravanchi also expressed Iran’s readiness to deepen cooperation in areas of mutual interest and to implement the 25-year comprehensive cooperation program.

He then praised China’s constructive role in promoting stability and peace in West Asia and welcomed enhanced bilateral and multilateral coordination between Tehran and Beijing.

The Chinese vice minister, for his part, stressed the shared determination of Iran and China to develop relations regardless of international or regional developments.

Miao Deyu said China is prepared to play a constructive role in strengthening comprehensive cooperation between Iran and Saudi Arabia, both bilaterally and trilaterally, in line with the main objective of the Beijing agreement to support regional peace and stability.
