In southern Lebanon, Israeli airstrikes hit the Jbour and Rihan highlands, as well as the Litani River basin between the towns of Deir Siryan and Zawtar. Israeli airstrikes also hit the areas of al-Jarmak and al-Mahmoudiya, Al Mayadeen reported.
Furthermore, an Israeli drone targeted the town of Taybeh with two missiles. The Israeli attack occurred near residential areas and along a highly vital road in Taybeh, raising concerns over the risks posed to civilians and essential infrastructure.
In the Bekaa region in eastern Lebanon, the Israeli forces carried out three airstrikes on the Zghrine highlands, on the outskirts of Hermel. Additional strikes targeted the outskirts of Tareya and Bodai.
Reports suggest that three separate geographic areas in the Bekaa region have been targeted by Israeli airstrikes since the morning, underscoring the geographic spread of the aggression.
Commenting on the Thursday's attacks, Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri said the Israeli strikes were the occupation's message to the Paris conference dedicated to supporting the Lebanese army, framing the attacks as a politically motivated escalation, rather than isolated military incidents.
The latest airstrikes follow deadly Israeli drone attacks earlier this week. On Tuesday, two Lebanese citizens were martyred in separate Israeli strikes. One strike targeted a vehicle along the Odaisseh–Markaba road in the Marjayoun district of Nabatieh Governorate, and the other strike targeted a vehicle in Mount Lebanon's Chouf District, killing one person and injuring 5 others.
